Notification Based WhatsApp Setup Guide

This article focuses on WhatsApp Integration for Dialer and HPBX and contains a step-by-step walkthrough.

📙 Pre-Requisites

  • Access to the Smartflo Portal.
  • The WhatsApp number that is to be added should be the same as the Omni platform.

 Get Started

To begin, log into your existing account on Smartflo.

1. Adding Numbers

  • Go to Servies > WhatsApp on the left navigation panel.

  • Click on Add WhatsApp Number.

Enter all the required details and click on Submit.

The number and token that are being added for the WhatsApp integration should be the same as those on the Omni platform.

Once the number has been successfully added, you can click on Select an Action and choose to Edit, Inactivate, or Delete the selected number.

2. Creating a Message Template

  • Go to Services > Template Management on the left navigation panel.

  • Click on Add Template.

  • Fill in the necessary details to create your custom template and click on Save.

Note: The language should be the same as Omni platform.

Note: Currently, Caller Missed Call, Caller Received Call, Broadcast Missed Call, Broadcast Received Call, Outgoing Missed Call (Dialer), Outgoing Received Call (Dialer), Incoming Missed Call (caller), and Incoming Received Call (Dialer) is supported for WhatsApp alerts.

Once the template is successfully added, you can click on Select an Action and choose to View/Edit, Clone, or Delete the selected number.

3. Enabling WhatsApp

  • Go to Services > Outbound Services > Manage Campaign on the left navigation panel.

  • Select a dialer campaign and click on Select an Action > Edit.

  • Find the option to Enable WhatsApp, enable it, and click on Save.

4. Adding WhatsApp to Dialer

  • Login to your Smartflo portal and go to Services > My Numbers.

  • Choose a number, and Click on Select an Action > Edit.

  • Select the message template for WhatsApp from the dropdown.

On how to create a template refer to Step 2.

  • Login to the Agent Panel.

Ensure that WhatsApp settings are enabled for the campaign that you’re selecting. If not, enable it, for which you can refer to Step 3.

  • Make a call to your desired number.

The call is successfully established.

On a successful call, you should receive a message accordingly.

5. Adding WhatsApp to HPBX

  • Login to Smartflo Portal and go to Services > My Numbers

  • Choose a number and click on Edit

  • Choose the templates

  • Go to Services > Outbound Services > Manage Campaign.

  • Choose a Campaign and click on Select an Action > Edit.

  • Go to Notification settings and select your desired templates.
